Volta Inc has agreed to be acquired by Shell USA, Inc in an effort to not only aid in the growth and development of the electric vehicle Volta Charging platform, but also to aid in Shell’s commitment to the renewable energy shift. 

This deal is estimated to cost Shell $169 million and will result in Shell’s acquisition of Volta shares at just $0.86 per share.
